What is CMMC and who needs to comply?

CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) is a cybersecurity framework developed by the Department of Defense to ensure contractors protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). If your company is part of the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and handles or could receive CUI, you are required to comply regardless of your size or subcontractor status.

How do I know if my organization handles CUI?
